A Good Day...!

Well today was public meeting day and we approved the S.T.A.R. program contract and entered into a lease for building space for that. The school districts have kicked in a cost share which I am thankful and grateful for. It is a great program and it was nice to be able to come up with a financial solution that works and allows us to keep the program operating. Read the Press Release Here!


At the prison board today the warden and i had worked up preliminary proposal to create and inmate community workforce for use by charity and community groups and local governments. We have a lot of details to work out but it is something that would be great for the jail and the local communities. This afternoon was spent going over the proposals for the guaranteed energy savings project. That is a very involved process and one heck of a lot of details to consider.

Then this evening it was over to East Smithfield fire hall for a meeting regarding the pipeline that will run through Mt. Pisgah county park. EOG resources pulled a meeting together with all the affected landowners to explain the details of them starting the work. It's all very interesting stuff.
